Ted Beville / Executive Director


Ted has over thirty-six years of experience in the scaffold and access industry and has been a member of SAIA for twenty years. Previously, Ted worked for Safway Services, LLC for over twenty-six years and was the Director of Safety and Training and served as a General Manager, Branch Manager, and Motorized Products Safety Manager. 

He has served as the co-chair for the SAIA Construction Hoist Council and served as the Vice President on the Executive Committee for three years.  In 2012, he was the recipient of the SAIA "Unsung Hero" award and the 2014 "Outstanding Service Award".  Along with his commitment to SAIA, Ted is a member of the following ANSI Committees; A92.9 Mast Climbing Work Platform, A92.10 Transport Platform, A10.4 Personnel Hoist, A10.5 Material Hoist, A10.8 Scaffold, and A11 Scaffold Testing.  Ted attended the University of Florida and resides in Lenexa, Kansas.


DeAnna Martin / Associate Director / ANSI Liaison


DeAnna has been in the customer service business for more than 12 years. She brings accounting, financial and managerial expertise to the SAIA.

DeAnna grew up in a small town in northwestern Missouri. In her recent job, she worked as a contractor for the Department of Homeland Security. While working there, she met her husband, Beau. Married in October 2010, the couple moved to Kansas City, Mo., where they now reside with their daughter Gracelyn. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, fishing, reading, watching her favorite sports teams and traveling with her husband.


Jackie Brown / Outreach Training Manager

Jackie Brown re-joins the SAIA team full time with 17+ years of customer service, 12+ years of accounting, and 8+ years of leadership and management experience. For the past 5 years, Jackie has been working behind the scenes managing the accounting department for SAIA. Before that, she worked in the training department processing tests as well as helping with membership and meetings. She is very excited to be back onboard full time and is looking forward to working with our membership. Jackie was born and raised in Kansas City, MO and now lives in Parkville, MO with her husband and two children. She enjoys working outside in her gardens with her children, DIY home renovation, getting crafty, working out, music, traveling, and any new adventure that sounds like a good time!


Brandi Fox / Membership Manager

Brandi brings almost 10 years of experience in the association and construction industry and over 15 years in sales and management. Previously, she worked for Associated Builders & Contractors, HOA as the Director of Membership.

After graduating high school, Brandi received her Associate in Science and transferred to Kansas University to finish her studies in Communications.

SAIA’s in-house fashionista, Brandi currently resides in Overland Park, KS with her Shitzu, Nuggett, and enjoys everything fashion related, traveling, camping, concerts, and great food.


Denice Posey / Marketing Manager

Denice brings a unique background to the SAIA that encompasses non-profit association work, construction industry knowledge, and more than 15 years’ experience in the marketing communications field. Her expertise includes copy writing and editing, graphic design and layout, branding and corporate identity, trade show coordination and project management. 

A few of her passions include fitness, fashion, good food and travel. She is an avid sports fan (mostly tennis), loves animals (particularly cats), and going to the beach when she’s lucky enough to be near one. Denice, who is originally from Denmark and fluent in Danish, graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications.


Ken Bowman / Ombudsman

Ken has been a small business owner since April Fool’s day in 1977, when he started a marketing/advertising agency.  In 1985 Ken was approached by one of his clients to see if he would be interested in assuming the management of a construction trade association.  Ken met with the board of directors of the Sealant, Waterproofing and Restoration Institute and at that meeting, the board unanimously agreed to hire Ken’s company to become the association’s management company.  From that pivotal meeting over twenty five years ago, the Robstan Group was formed and it now specializes only in managing associations…and SWRInstitute is still one of Ken’s clients!  Currently, the Robstan Group manages nine national/international trade associations and has a staff of 27 people.


Ken’s educational background includes two undergraduate degrees in psychology and sociology plus he successfully completed his post graduate work in clinical psychology. Additionally, he completed several senior level marketing programs developed by area colleges and university’s geared towards marketing professionals.  He has been married to Sharon for almost 37 years and has two boys and three grandchildren.  Ken’s interests include his farm and trying to keep his old Jag running.


Danielle Melson / Operations Administrator

Danielle was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. With a degree in business management, she previously worked for the Department of Homeland Security. Danielle joins us with 13 years of customer service experience, supervisor experience, and leadership skills. In her down time, she enjoys traveling, photography, fitness, music, and art.


Mary Cirese / Administrative Support

Mary is a born and raised Kansas City native. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Bachelors of Business Administration emphasizing in management. Mary brings numerous years of experience in customer service, business management, and event coordinating. When Mary is not spending time with her two horses and dog, she enjoys attending music festivals, and volunteering for local events and non-profits.


Meredith Carr / Meetings Manager

Meredith began her career in the advertising sales world in 2003 after graduating from the University of Kanas with a B.S. in Journalism. Because of her sales experience, Meredith was hired by Alliance Communications (a subsidiary of Allen Press) in 2004 as a meeting planner and exhibit/sponsor sales manager – managing all aspects of exhibit and sponsorship sales for five professional associations and societies.

Meredith left Alliance Communications to join the corporate planning world. After a few years of planning corporate events for franchise companies, Meredith came to Robstan Group in 2008 and resumed her love of planning meetings for non-profits.

When this city girl isn’t working so hard her past times include watching Royals games, traveling the globe, reading a good book, and cheering on her beloved Jayhawks with family and friends.


Kelly Coleman / Director of Marketing and Sales - SA Magazine

Kelly Coleman is the Director of Marketing and Sales for SA Magazine.  Kelly has a degree in Journalism/Advertising with a minor in English from San Diego State University.  She has been in the publishing biz since right after the invention of the modern press.  Kelly enjoys the variety of tasks that come with association work.  She has extensive experience in advertising sales, circulation management, marketing campaign creation and event planning.  According to Kelly, the SAIA staff is super-dedicated and fun to work with.

Kelly lives in a suburb of Kansas City with her husband, teenage daughter and son.  She is an avid watcher of youth sports, dedicated community volunteer, fan of the Royals and occasional camper.  


Cathee Johnson Phillips / Editor - SA Magazine

Cathee Johnson Phillips serves as editor of the SA Magazine. She holds a master's degree in leadership and a bachelor's degree with majors in English and Spanish and a minor in mass communication. She began work in the printing and publishing industry at the age of 20, when she set type on a Justowriter, an automatic tape-operated composing machine, and used an Exacto knife and hot wax to layout ads.

Her career includes running a small printing and publishing business for 24 years, working as director of public relations at a small, private college, and serving as executive director of nonprofit organizations. She has published two books and is an accomplished freelance writer with several magazine publications.

She has four children and five lively, lovely grandsons that keep her young at heart.
