About the A92 Annual Meeting

The ASC A92 Main Committee meeting is open to the public for those who have an interest in the standards activities that establish consensus rules, guidelines, or characteristics for activities, or their results in the aerial platforms industry. Consensus (industry) standards are voluntarily used by manufacturers, dealers, owners, users, and operators of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP). The purpose of the standards is the prevention of accidents and injuries as well as establishing criteria for the manufacturers. The standards also aid the manufacturers, dealers, owners, users, and operators of the platforms to understand their various responsibilities

Standards are used by a range of organizations to enhance their products and services, improve safety and quality, meet industry best practices, By being involved committee members are able to directly contribute to and shape the direction of their sector. The process can also support a committee member’s professional development by:
  • Enhancing their professional experience
  • Building networks and learning from other experts in their field

  • Representing and protecting the public interest.

  • Some professional organizations award continual professional development points for standards development involvement that count towards professional certification.

SOMETHING CAME UP AND NOW I'M UNABLE TO ATTEND. WHAT CAN I DO?

All cancelations must be made in writing and can be mailed, faxed, or emailed to SAIA headquarters. Any cancelations received on or before September 5, will be honored but will result in a $50 per person processing charge.
