THIS IS MY FIRST TIME ATTENDING SAIA ANNUAL CONVENTION & EXPOSITION. WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
If this is your first time attending the SAIA Annual Convention & Exposition, or any SAIA event, then we'd like to welcome you to the family and say 'thank you' for taking your commitment to the scaffold and access industry to the next level! We look forward to your participation and hope you'll find inspiration, new ideas, and valuable connections that will help you back home in your business or work.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE SAIA ANNUAL CONVENTION & EXPOSITION?
The SAIA Annual Convention & Exposition brings together the largest gathering of scaffold and access industry professionals. The Convention features industry-focused educational sessions and showcases the nation’s top scaffold and access exhibitors.
This yearly event is also one of the best opportunities for members to converge, face-to-face, in a central location to voice concerns, share opinions and expertise, discuss best practices, and make decisions about the Association, their industry, and related topics.
Networking with peers and SAIA leadership is another key component of the SAIA Annual Convention & Exposition, and several programming elements have been built into the schedule to foster this important and valuable relationship building. The SAIA Café provides the optimal space for attendees to casually gather between meals and breaks, take a meeting (one-on-one or with a small group), or just relax with new and old friends!Evening receptions give attendees a chance to kick back after a long day of work to enjoy food, drink, entertainment, and camaraderie with each other in an informal setting.
WHO ATTENDS THE SAIA ANNUAL CONVENTION & EXPOSITION?
Representatives from all major sectors of the scaffold and access industry attend this event, including manufacturers, rental houses, suppliers, distributors, contractors, educators, labor groups, consulting firms, and more. These attendees are builders, CEOs, presidents, managers, safety directors, laborers, attorneys, and engineers – just to name a few – and they share the same passion for the industry as you do!
IS TRAINING OFFERED AT ANNUAL CONVENTION?
Training is an essential element of the SAIA Annual Convention & Exposition, so it’s an excellent time to take care of any requirements you might still need to meet for educational, certification, or compliance purposes. Training offered - Train the Trainer, CPT Frame, CPT Suspended, and CPT System.
DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE SAIA TO ATTEND THE ANNUAL CONVENTION & EXPOSITION?
No, you do not have to be a member of the SAIA to attend the Annual Convention & Exposition. However, you may want to join after discovering all the benefits a membership offers, including discounted pricing for all events like this one!
WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
ARE MEALS INCLUDED?
Breakfast (Tuesday -Thursday) and lunch (Tuesday & Wednesday) are included in the registration fee as well as an open bar at receptions. Gluten free and vegan options available upon request.
HOW DO I JUSTIFY THE EXPENSE OF ATTENDING?
We do our best to ensure your experience at the SAIA Annual Convention & Exposition is equal parts educational and engaging. When you leave, we want you to be equipped with practical, ready-to-implement solutions that will help your organization solve their greatest challenges. However, for any of this to happen, we know you first need to convince your boss that your attendance is worth the investment. Below are some justification tips you can use when talking with your manager or supervisor.

Review the Convention schedule and identify those sessions which best align with your company’s needs and their expectations for you AND are most relevant to your skill development and goals.

The Convention offers numerous professional development opportunities to learn about new trends, develop competent skills, and interpret complicated legislation.

The Exposition is your opportunity to collect information on and evaluate products and services from industry-specific vendors and suppliers while also comparing competing technologies.

We guarantee you’ll leave the Convention feeling empowered, energized, and well-informed. Commit to a post-conference briefing for staff back home to share what you learned. All presentations will be available to you online following the Convention.
WHAT FACTORS AFFECT CONVENTION EXPENSES?
A number of factors affect Convention expenses, including
Registration Fees – SAIA members receive discounted pricing to attend the Convention, so if you’re not yet a member you may want to consider joining in order to take advantage of the savings!
Single-Day Pass – the SAIA offers single-day passes (members must log in first to access the registration options) for those who only want to attend one day of the Convention, an economical solution if you’re interested in just a few sessions.
Training Courses – the SAIA University Training Program offers several opportunities for skills training and certification at the Convention; however, all courses require an additional fee separate from the regular registration costs.
CAN I REGISTER NOW BUT PAY LATER?
Registrations will not be processed and confirmed without payment. For the best pricing, be sure to get your registration submitted prior to the early bird deadline of July 31, 2020.
CAN I REGISTER ONSITE?
We do accept on-site registrations, but the fee is slightly higher. We encourage you to register early!
WHAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS AFTER I REGISTER AND CAN NO LONGER ATTEND?
We understand that situations come up at the last minute that may prevent you from attending. We will honor any cancellations that are received on or before August 15, 2020. There is a $75 cancellation fee ($50 for guest/spouse registrations). Unfortunately, we cannot offer any refunds on your registration after this cut-off date. Cancellations must be made in writing and sent in via mail, fax, or email to:
