The deadline to make your reservation is Friday, August 30, 2019. Rooms will only be held until that date or until the group block is sold out, whichever comes first. After this date, rooms are subject to availability, and higher rates may apply.

To make your reservation, go to https://book.passkey.com/go/SAIA2019. You can also call the hotel directly at 504.525.2500. Do not use any third-party providers to make your reservations.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: HOUSING FRAUD

Various telemarketing firms with names like Global Housing Services Corporation, National Travel Associates, Elite Expo, Travel Era, Expo Rooms, and others have contacted SAIA attendees to solicit hotel reservations for the SAIA Annual Convention & Exposition. These companies usually say that this is the last day to get discounted rates, block is about to be sold out, or some other scare tactic. NONE of these companies are affiliated with SAIA or the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, and they are not authorized to book rooms in the name of SAIA.

National Travel Associates have been contacting various members recently. What they are saying is not true. Please use the SAIA link above to book your rooms. If there is information on the hotel that SAIA needs to communicate with you it will be done through headquarters staff. There is great risk in booking hotel rooms through telephone marketers. Companies have been known to cancel reservations once they have the credit card information.

The only secure method of reserving rooms for SAIA at the negotiated rate is by booking through the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel (link). Any and all phone calls and correspondence received from anyone (other than SAIA) offering to make room reservations should be ignored and reported immediately to SAIA headquarters at 816.595.4860.

WHY STAY AT THE HOST HOTEL?

It's the center of conference activity, that's why! You'll be able to network easily with other conference attendees. It's a quick trip from your room to get to the general sessions, exhibit hall, and receptions! But there are other reasons to consider before you look at another hotel.

The SAIA has taken their role of finding a conference site very seriously. They've looked at a number of locations, taken into consideration the needs of attendees, and considered the options for conference meeting spaces. Hotel room rates are then negotiated based on the number of expected attendees and the meeting space required to comfortably accommodate everyone.

If the program does not meet the contracted sleeping room commitment, the unfilled sleeping rooms can cost the association thousands of dollars; this puts pressure on the staff and leadership to increase registration fees for the following year.

So stay with us. Use the provided passkey link to book your room directly in the SAIA Convention room block. We think you’ll find the host property to be top-notch!
