Swing Stage Motor Technician
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for performing skilled mechanical repair and maintenance of motorized construction access rental equipment.
Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Troubleshoot, test, repair, and perform maintenance on swing stage equipment and accessories.
- Disassemble swing stage motors, replace defective parts, and reassemble.
- Conduct inspections in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations.
- Perform preventative and needed maintenance on all motorized machinery.
- Make off-site services calls, as needed, with the ability to complete repairs at jobsites.
- Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all parts.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

| Requirements |
QUALIFICATIONS:
- General knowledge in the inspection, disassembly, repair, and reassembly of swing stage equipment.
- At least one (1) year of experience in a similar type of role required.
- At least two (2) years of small engine and power equipment mechanics preferred.
- Formal training to erect and operate suspended scaffolds preferred.
- Formal fall protection training preferred.
- Prior rigging experience preferred.
- Willingness to receive competent person training.
- Ability to obtain motor-specific certifications with 90 days of hire.
- Ability to read and understand electric schematics and theory on how swing stage systems work.
- Experience using test equipment, meters, and gauges.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift 100 lbs. without assistance.
- Comfortable working at heights greater than 100 feet above ground level.
- Adaptable to changing priorities in a consistently fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English required.
- Driver’s License and own transportation with insurance required.
