Suspended / Systems Scaffold Superintendent
Job Summary:
The Swing Stage and Scaffold Superintendent manages all aspects of scaffolding and swing stage operations on construction projects, ensuring safe and efficient installation, use, and dismantling of scaffolds. The superintendent leads teams, coordinates with other departments, and ensures all scaffolding work adheres to safety standards, regulations, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision & Management:
- Manage and oversee crews responsible for the installation, maintenance, and dismantling of scaffolding and swing stages.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety guidelines, OSHA standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate daily tasks with site managers, engineers, and other construction teams to ensure efficient workflow.
- Monitor progress of projects, identifying and resolving issues as they arise to prevent delays.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all workers are trained and certified in scaffolding and swing stage operations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments of scaffolding setups and work areas.
- Address and rectify any hazards or non-compliance issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of safety meetings, inspections, and certifications.
- Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop work plans, schedules, and timelines for scaffold and swing stage installations based on project needs.
- Estimate and allocate necessary resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Track progress against timelines and make necessary adjustments to meet project goals.
- Materials & Equipment Management:
- Ensure all scaffolding materials, swing stages, and safety equipment are available, inspected, and maintained.
- Oversee proper assembly, use, and dismantling of all scaffolding and swing stage equipment.
- Team Leadership & Training:
- Lead and mentor crew members, providing training on best practices, safety protocols, and new techniques.
- Address performance issues, conduct evaluations, and ensure a high standard of work.
- Foster a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of all scaffolding and swing stage operations, including installation and dismantling dates, crew hours, and any incidents.
- Provide regular updates to project managers, site supervisors, and clients.
- Submit reports on safety checks, materials used, and project progress.

Requirements |
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years in scaffolding and swing stage operations, with at least 10 years in a supervisory role.
- Certifications: OSHA Scaffold User Certification, Swing Stage Competency Certification, and any other industry-relevant certifications.
- Technical Skills: Proficient knowledge of scaffold and swing stage systems, safety standards, and applicable construction regulations.
- Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to conduct thorough inspections and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to work in physically demanding environments, including heights, for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
