Account Manager / Business development QTG (2 open positions)

Position Responsibilities:
  • Canvas and develop new accounts and explore new areas of business in Canada & US.
  • Participates in business development activities (conventions, conferences, trade shows
  • Understands organization strengths and weaknesses; analyzes market and competition; identifies external threats and opportunities; adapts strategy to changing conditions.
  • Determine obstacles that may increase the project cost in advance & ability to make alternative recommendations
  • Service as the primary “point of contact” for customers during project execution, serving customer needs and requests and troubleshooting when/if required with our production team.
  • Meet pre-established sales goals, targets and objectives directed by Management
  • Lead the Client Meetings and understands the objectives, issues, and requirements to present value-added proposals and solutions.
  • Produce weekly sales reports and attend monthly sales meeting to ensure that objectives are being met.
  • Establish relationships and maintain contact with accounts
  • Generate new leads follow up and establish long term partnerships with clients
  • Ensures professional presentations when visiting clients
  • Preparation of proposals and pricing decisions

Requirements Position Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in sales and business development
  • 2-5 years of industry sales experience in steel industry
  • Previous experience in scaffolding, access solutions or tubular structures & components (an asset)
  • Previous experience with manufacturing & distribution companies (an asset).
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Excellent communication skills oral and writing (English 9/10 and French 6/10)
  • Proven ability to network effectively with operations team/site Leaders and a history of building and sustaining strong business relationships
  • Agile and highly motivated; self-starter
  • Mobile and comfortable building new relationships
  • Demonstrated a track record of success in prospecting and growing new accounts
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office
